For each logo design project there may be many design proposals, but finally only one is accepted. All the other proposals are made to disappear, this is what we call creative waste. Creative waste is a major problem in the creative industry, from an economic point of view with the loss of unpaid creative work and from an ecological point of view considering all the necessary resources exploited for unused creations.
However, all creative waste can be recycled, each logo not retained can have a new life in a new entity. This is the principle of the Ecobranding Logo Collection which recycles logo creations to give them a new life in the blockchain and making access to logo ownership accessible to all and easily transferable in a secure way.
🥇 Each creation has a single NFT certificate.

♻️ Recycled creative waste.
💡 The PoW consensus mechanism like Bitcoin or Ethereum is the heart of the blockchain energy debate. The NFT certificates of the Ecobranding Collection are minted on the French blockchain Tezos (XTZ), a PoS blockchain which is a greener alternative. The energy cost of minting an NFT on Ethereum is 332kWh (presuming full blocks), and the similar cost (presuming full blocks) on Tezos is 0,0002kWh (200mWh).
A few years ago, we designed a logo for the Royal Moroccan Horse Society. Our proposal was not accepted, but we decided to share the project publicly. Sometime later, we realized that this logo had been used by various companies around the world without asking for our prior approval. We were very honored to see this horse logo live on in different ways and in different languages, as this logo was originally rejected. We don’t mind being copied, we’re actually quite proud of it : ) but these multiple copies ask an obvious problem of ownership.
This is a recurring problem in the world of logo design, sometimes you are copied, and sometimes you discover that everything already exists…Blockchain certification would allow for greater flexibility in redistributing rights and sharing ownership in a simple, fast, and decentralized way.
In 2018, we started thinking about a new solution for creating and transferring ownership with the Ethereum blockchain through the creation of a new Token that we named the Logo Coin. Unfortunately, the project was abandoned because we had failed to integrate the logo design into Ethereum smart contracts. However, the recent expansion of NFT platforms could now make it easier to certify each logo on the blockchain. And the ambition to offer professional, eco-designed, blockchain-certified logos is now a reality.
The Ecobranding collection is the first limited edition of crypto-logo collection.
